Sixth Form geography students investigate the urban regeneration of Docklands and Stratford.
Sixth Form geography students have recently visited the East End of London to investigate the urban regeneration of Docklands and Stratford. In the Docklands they saw how it had been transformed into a financial centre and were able to contrast this with the neighbouring residential area of Cubitt Town. While in Stratford they saw first-hand the retail and leisure-led regeneration at Westfield and the Olympic Park, and looked at the Carpenter's Estate, where residents are holding out against the encroaching property developers. The Sixth Formers also conducted questionnaires in the streets of Stratford to obtain the views of the local population towards the regeneration of their area.
