What is bullying?
Bullying is aggressive or insulting behaviour by an individual or group (often repeated over a period of time) which intentionally hurts or harms.
Types of bullying
This is not an exhaustive list, and if a student feels they are being bullied, Maltby Academy takes it very seriously.

Bullying of any form will not be tolerated at Maltby Academy and any such incidences will be dealt with seriously.

Types of bullying
Physical bullying | Includes: | prodding, poking, nipping, grabbing hair, kicking, punching or slapping another person in a deliberately hurtful way. |
Verbal, social or psychological bullying | Includes: | threatening behaviour, taunting or teasing, leaving a person out, calling names, spreading rumours, racist or sexist abuse towards another person. |
Cyber bullying | Includes: | threatening behaviour using a mobile phone, the internet or other technologies |
