Social and Cultural Learning Team Project
03/03/10
Y7 students have been working hard over the last 3 weeks on their Social and Cultural Learning team project. This involved comparing two contrasting cities - Paris and Kinshasa. Students have used their Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills as their learning tools to investigate and then put together a final presentation based upon their findings. This has been completed in Geography, History, Modern Languages and Cultural Studies.
Well Done to all students who have produced some excellent work showing a great deal of invention and initiative. As part of the project two groups received rewards for their efforts in terms of innovation and comparison.
The overall winning group included: Rosie Thompson, Chloe Higgins, Courtney Ellis and Charlotte Granger. Their reward is an I-pod shuffle.
The runners up were: Leah Waddington, Emma Scrivens, Sophia Hemsley and Chloe Aitken who were awarded a Meadowhall voucher.
Many other students were also chosen by their class room teachers to receive merit rewards for effort.
