Creative Thinker Week inspires Y7 students to write poetry

Year 7 students have just taken part in a Creative Thinker week as part of their Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
In their History lessons they have studying the role of a Roman soldier and the reasons why Hadrians Wall was built. From this they have written a poem about how a Roman soldier posted on Hadrians wall might feel about his day to day life.
The students used Audens poem - Roman Wall Blues- for inspiration. You can read a selection of the poems below.
